POSTER SERIES
SUMMARY
The title of this project is called SELF DOUBT KILLS CREATIVITY. Like many artists in any industry, self-doubt may come with the territory of being creative. While I have struggled throughout the years doubting myself as a creative and comparing myself too much with other creatives, I am now learning that it may hinder creativity. Doubting yourself leads to procrastination creating a barrier of not taking on every opportunity that presents itself.
The art is presented in poster formats in which I have drawn characters that convey certain drained emotions relating to how you may feel when you doubt yourself. Each poster has a word from the title Self Doubt Kills Creativity that connects each other into one. A paper-like and worn-out texture shows the countless times in which I have crumpled up paper full of ideas because I doubted it wasn’t good enough, that being said it is a message of all the great ideas sketched out on paper that were thrown out but then revived to create something beautiful.
